Is it really 100% free to use?
Yes, our free webhosting plan is 100% free. There are no setup or other fees, you don't have to pay anything for using this service. Use it for free as long as you want.

Am I allowed to have more than one account?
Yes, you are allowed to have up to three accounts.
To prevent abuse, we would ask you to use a different email address if you apply for an additional free hosting account.

Is PHP supported?
PHP is fully supported, however there are some restrictions which are common on free hosting. If you want NO restrictions on PHP, please consider upgrading to a paid plan.

The following restrictions / PHP settings are in effect:
fopen wrappers / curl are disabled
PHP sendmail is disabled
SMTP Email is disabled
IMAP Email is disabled
Safe Mode is ON.
Some .htaccess directives are not supported.

Also some PHP functions are disabled.

Is MySQL supported?
Yes, we fully support MySQL databases on free hosting accounts. You can use up to 5 MySQL databases.

Where to upload my files?
If you use FTP, you need to upload your files to the following directory:
sitename.lhosting.info/htdocs/

If you have added a domain using the domain manager, you will then see a folder in your ftp named the domain name, in this folder there will also be the folder htdocs - you must upload the files to this location.

What are the Name Servers to use for my domain names?
If you want to use your own domain name (e.g. yourdomain.com) with your free hosting account, the following nameservers should be used:
ns1.lhosting.info
ns2.lhosting.info

Please note that we can't register a domain for you. You can buy a domain name from Godaddy or any other reliable domain registrar.
Domain use for our free hosting is absolutely optional. If you don't have a domain, you can use our free subdomains.

What are my FTP settings?
You should connect to FTP using the following details:

Example
FTP User Name: XX_319732 (please note that your username is NOT the same as your subdomain)
FTP Password: (your password)
FTP Host: ftp.lhosting.info
FTP Port: 21

We recommend to use SmartFTP for FTP connections.
You can also find all your FTP connection details in your welcome email.

What are my MySQL settings?
Your MySQL settings are displayed in your control panel. Please note that you have to create MySQL databases yourself in your control panel.

Click on Manage MySQL
You will see the following settings listed there:

MySQL host name : This is show in your control panel (it is NOT localhost, most probably it is in format sql[number].lhosting.info)
MySQL user name : This is the same as your cpanel and FTP username.
MySQL password : This is the same as your cpanel and FTP password.
MySQL database name: You need to make a database in the control panel.

I did not receive my welcome email, what can I do?
After you sign up for a free account, your web site is activated instantly.
Your free web hosting account details are emailed you instantly, but it can take up to 10 minutes for your email provider to receive or process our email.
Please make sure you check all your in boxes including Spam / Junk mail.
If you did not receive an email, then you probably made an error on the signup form:
Please sign up for a new account making sure you enter the correct information.
You may want to use another email address to avoid our system from rejecting your application.

Is there a maximum file size limit?
We do not enforce a maximum file size limit.

But we do not allow free hosting accounts to be used for file storage / distribution:

We do not allow :

Uploading large video files
Large archives (RAR, ZIP)
Large volumes of Mp3's
Backups
Personal storage

Uploading these files will cause your account to be suspended.

If your website offers large files to download, we encourage you to use our free file hosting service with unlimited bandwidth and all file types allowed.

What about ads? Are there any advertisements on my website?
Currently there are absolutely no banner or pop-up ads on your pages. We hate pop-ups and really don't plan to put them. Only one or two simple text links may appear at the very bottom of your pages.

How to access PhpMyAdmin?
1)  Log into your control panel
2)  Choose Manage SQL
3)  Choose Manage database with PHPMyAdmin  or  PhpMyAdmin
4)  (You will see your databases listed.)
5)  Click  " <-- Connect to this database "   next to the database you want to connect to.

No usernames or passwords are required to connect to PhpMyAdmin.

Why am I redirected while I'm accessing my site?
It can happen because of 404/403 error (file not found / wrong link) or wrong MySQL information or other errors on your site. If you just signed up and/or created a database, such an error is normal for a short time, because it takes some time for your new information to spread over the system.
You can easily avoid this annoying redirection with .htaccess file. Use the following lines to redirect to YOUR OWN page in case of "not found" error:

ErrorDocument 403 /index.php
ErrorDocument 404 /index.php

Of course, you can use any other page for redirection. Use Google if you need more information about .htaccess.

Help! I have installed Wordpress, but it's not working :(
When you have Wordpress installed with our automatic installer, it will not work instantly! You should do the following additional steps which cannot be done automatically:
1. Create a Mysql database, if you didn't do that already (you need only to create a database; Mysql username/password are the same as your control panel login username/password).
2. Connect to FTP and rename Wordpress file wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php.
3. Download the file wp-config.php to your computer.
4. Enter your Mysql information in wp-config.php and upload it again to the server.
5. Now run Wordpress install script at wp-admin/install.php.

Can I put ads on my pages?
You can put on your pages whatever you want including your own advertisements. But your site must not contain any illegal material like warez, porno etc. This is absolutely forbidden. Also you are not allowed to use your free hosting account offering large files to download. This is a free WEBSITE hosting service, not a hosting for files. There are many good free file hosting services you can use for this purpose.
